Portable Systems and Low Frequency Control (LFC) Deployment

Dual-course Training Session
from the 3rd to 5th of May, 2023 From 9.30 am to 6.00 pm
at SIMA Performing Arts Theatre in Alserkal Avenue,
Al Quoz Industrial Area 01 – Dubai – UAE

Introduction

Course Overview

This three‑day course organized and executed in collaboration with Meyer Sound explores Portable Systems Deployment and Low-Frequency Control.
Days 01 and 02 will focus on Portable Systems Deployment and Day 03 will cover Low-Frequency Control (LFC).
The course will be concluded following a much-requested Q&A Session with the instructors.

Course 01: Portable System Deployment

The course provides the foundation for the present-day users’ requirements to accurately deploy portable live sound systems, whatever the size and application.

The course attendees will gain a working knowledge of the entire process, from initial system design to final verification, and everything in between. All topics are demonstrated in practice using Meyer Sound solutions, which include the following:

Loudspeakers, Rigging Hardware, the MAPP 3D System Design Tool, Galileo GALAXY Network Platform, Compass Control Software, RMServer Remote Monitoring System, MDM Power and Signal Distribution Module, and FFT‑based transfer‑function analyzers.

Even though this course focuses primarily on live sound, the content is suitable for anyone involved in designing and deploying sound systems from novices to professionals with decades of experience, either portable or installed.

course 02: LOW-FREQUENCY CONTROL (LFC)

The course addresses a range of considerations when working with the Meyer Sound LFC subwoofer product line. Topics include verification procedures, cardioid, and array configurations, effective cancellation techniques, main-to-LF scaling, and alignment, and approaches to combining different subwoofer configurations within a single system.

This course is offered in select instances, as a supplement to Portable System Deployment and System Design & Optimization. Attendees should complete either course prior to taking Low-Frequency Control, the content of which is intended for experienced audio technicians.
